What we do

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an important Chinese invention that originated 4000 years ago. The Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) will only grant for private health rebates for practices where the therapists that have qualifications in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Acupuncture is based on the concept that Qi (an energy flow) continuously circulates through the body via channels or meridians (energy channels of the body). According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, illness and pain arises due to an imbalance or blockage of the channels or from internal factors that disrupt the flow of Qi.

The focus of acupuncture is to treat the underlying cause based on the symptoms that are presented at the time of treatment.

Acupuncture is a viable treatment for all health conditions and works on restoring balance to the body’s energy meridians.

Acupuncture works by using single use needles in a prescribed pattern to restore balance within the meridians and bodily systems. Pain can be counteracted via this ability to move energy (Qi) and blood throughout the body.

Massage (oriental, therapeutic, sports and relaxation)

Stress is common part of our busy modern lives. Massage is commonly used to maximize circulation and eliminate adverse stress on the body. It has the ability to promote circulation, and move those abusive toxins that build up with day to day living. There is also the relaxation benefit which is re – harmonizing and balancing by nature. Acupuncture and massage help to maintain the balance, improving circulation to the joint, and therefore helping in a wider range of movement.
